九州地区のアクティブレンジャーが、日々の活動や地域の魅力を発信しますアクティブ・レンジャーとは、自然保護官の補佐役として、国立公園等のパトロール、調査、利用者指導、自然解説などの業務を担う環境省の職員です。管内には、瀬戸内海、西海、雲仙天草、阿蘇くじゅう、霧島錦江湾、屋久島、慶良間諸島、西表石垣国立公園、やんばる国立公園があります。

野焼き後の草原に、ワラビやゼンマイなどの春の山菜もそくぞくと芽吹いています。「ASO田園空間博物間」のワラビ採りイベントを取材しました。最初にガイドさんの案内で地元の神社や名所を散策したあと、草原に向かいました。

熊本市内から来られた母娘の参加者は、草原の急斜面を下りることに最初躊躇していました。けれども牛が歩いてできる道（牛道）を通り、「ザクザク」と萱を切った上を歩く音を楽しんであっという間に私から見えなくなりました。
Mother and her daughter from Kumamoto city were hesitated to down steep slope. Therefore they had walked down the Ushimichi path which livestock made. They were enjoyed every steps made crunchy sound come out from Kaya Japanese silver grass than moved away from me.

袋いっぱい収穫できて、地元の方々とのお話もはずみ、楽しい時間は過ぎました。
