阿蘇の春だより♪～【阿蘇地域 藤田】 Spring News from Aso
2022年04月11日こんにちは、藤田です。阿蘇の春の風物詩「野焼き」は、天候による順延もなく、3月上旬に行われ、真っ黒になった草原に「キスミレ」が色鮮やかに咲き、春を告げる花が、次々に咲き始めています。
Spring tradition of Aso, Noyaki (Controlled burning of grasslands which has been carried out for thousands of years in Aso) was held in early March without delay because of good weather conditions, and Kisumire (Oriental Yellow Violet) started blooming colorfully in the black burned grassland, and flowers blooming one after another to signal the coming of Spring.
草原に広がるキスミレ（Oriental Yellow Violet）
キスミレは、野焼き後に最初に見られる花です。今年は野焼きが3月上旬に予定通り行われたことと、あたたかい日が続いたからでしょうか、4月1日には一面に咲いており、昨年より10日くらい早い開花でした。
Kisumire is the first flower to be seen after Noyaki, controlled burning of grasslands. Since Noyaki was done beginning of March this year earlier than usual and the warm days continued, Kisumire bloomed all over the place by April 1st, about 10 days earlier than last year.

You can also see them around the grasslands such as Daikanbou and Kusasenri viewing points. Keep your eyes around your feet not to miss beautiful little flowers and enjoy your Spring in Aso!
