2019年04月05日Mt. Aso Visitor Center newly opened on 17th March 2019!!!

This new visitor center is one of the four visitor centers in Aso-Kuju National Park.

It is located within Aso Volcano Museum.

(Others are Minami Aso Visitor Center, Aso Grassland Concervation Center and Chojabaru Visitor Center)

Each visitor center is unique and offers different information and exhibitions. Mt.Aso Visitor Center is designed to be used as a hub and starting point of your trip with full range of information on Aso-Kuju National Park, volcano, native habitats, trekking, local culture and tourist information of Aso area. The exhibitions are interactive and multilingual. You can also book a tour by Geo Guide here.

For those who would like to learn about volcano the more in details, visit the second and the third floor. The exhibitions have been renewed and now you can even see active Nakadake crater through a live camera. There is no other museum which specialize in volcanos.
